Challenge
In 2015, Pulse met with Stillwater Environmental Engineering (SEE), a civil and environmental engineering firm serving clients in Maine and neighboring states, about a potential website redesign. SEE’s existing website was outdated, poorly branded, and lacked content to explain the organization’s menu of services. Working from SEE’s existing brand, Pulse was tasked with creating a website that was able to communicate SEE’s level of expertise, professionalism, and New England focus to clients and partners.
Approach
Pulse met with SEE to develop a sitemap for the new website that would encompass all of the organization’s services as well as information about the organization, its capabilities, and the team’s background and experience. With a strategic direction in place, Pulse designed a new website on the WordPress Content Management System (CMS) that met the client’s needs and offered improved editing capabilities and search engine optimization.
Following this, Pulse schedule a photoshoot to obtain headshots of the SEE team as well as the organization’s location near the banks of the Stillwater River in Orono, Maine. These high-quality photos were used throughout the site to add character and local flavor. Coupled with the improved site layout and design, these photos created a significantly-improved visual presence that spoke more closely to SEE’s values and identity.
Since 2015, Pulse has worked with SEE on an ongoing basis, producing a number of eye-catching marketing materials such as a viewbook, thank you card, and trade show collateral, outreach letters, and as well as drone photography editing for web and social media. Pulse has also provided social media management services since 2017, creating and managing branded profiles across Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, including development of bi-monthly editorial calendars, graphic creation, post scheduling, and live-monitoring of trends and interaction on all three platforms.
Results
SEE is now equipped with a website that offers information about its services, making it a more effective tool for branding and awareness.
SEE Facebook page followership has increased by over 50% since 2017, and has seen as an over 200% increase in paid and organic impressions since 2017. SEE now has an effective social strategy to represent the brand to the public, create sales opportunities, and establish and grow their public presence.
