Our Team
Angela found her passion for marketing when she began her journey at UMaine’s Foster Center for Student Innovation. As an Innovation Engineering Black Belt and Innovation Outreach Manager, she spent the following decade specializing in strategic marketing in addition to leading others in operational efficiencies, new product development, and culture change. During her time at UMaine, Angela supported more than 200 companies across the state of Maine. Most recently, she held the position of Senior Marketing Manager at The Jackson Laboratory where she was responsible for the development and deployment of the global marketing strategy for JAX Mice and Services.
In her spare time, Angela’s hobbies are woodworking, knitting, and painting. She also enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, two children, and two beagles. Angela holds a B.A. in English from Coastal Carolina University and an M.A. in English from the University of Maine.
Heidi has been with the Bangor Daily News since 2005, where she started as an Inside Sales Assistant in the Advertising Dept. She has held different positions at the Bangor Daily News, including Outside Sales Media Consultant, Creative Ad Coordinator, Campaign Development Strategist and Digital Ad Operations Manager. Currently, Heidi is the Agency Operations Manager for Pulse Marketing. She graduated from the University of Maine in Orono with a degree in Mass Communications and Public Relations. She lives in Bangor with her husband and their 4 boys.
As the Head of Business Development at Pulse Marketing Agency, Todd brings forth over a decade of comprehensive experience and expertise in sales, advertising, and revenue generation. In his role as the Vice President of Print Operations at Bangor Publishing Company, he successfully navigated and led various facets of sales, marketing, operations, and circulation for print and digital products and services.
Todd’s primary mission is to ensure the delivery of quality, efficiency, and profitability to Pulse Marketing Agency’s valued customers and partners, all while fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration within the diverse and talented teams.
Prior to joining Pulse Marketing Agency in September of 2023, Ben’s client-focused mentality and natural curiosity propelled him through a career in Sales, Healthcare IT and Digital Advertising. He applies that mentality and curiosity to every interaction, seeking to better understand client needs and goals. Ben has a passion for nurturing lasting professional relationships focusing on mutual success.
Ben lives in Winslow with his dog, Tilly. On weekends he can often be found canoeing on China Lake or completing DIY projects. Ben also loves animals, and urges everyone to visit and support their local Humane Society.
Laura’s journey with the organization began in 2006, marking the start of a professional trajectory marked by her unwavering commitment to learning and skill development in which she has become a key asset to our success. Known for her exceptional ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, Laura goes above and beyond to understand and fulfill their advertising needs. Her approach is marked by innovative sales strategies that not only meet but often exceed client expectations.
Outside the professional realm, Laura finds joy and relaxation in her life in the greater Bangor area with her two daughters. Beyond her professional pursuits and family life, Laura indulges in her passion for baking during her spare time. Colleagues often find themselves fortunate taste testers, eagerly sampling the delicious treats that emerge from her kitchen. Lucky us!
Amy turned a love of reading, writing, and art into a journalism degree from the University of Maine, where she found a passion for editorial design. Before coming to the Bangor Daily News and Pulse, she worked for almost a decade in healthcare marketing and public relations in Bangor, and prior to that as a magazine editor in New Hampshire. Amy’s now the editor and art director for Bangor Metro magazine and BDN Special Sections, and is honored to have received multiple Maine Press Association awards.
At home, Amy is mom and chauffeur to two rapidly growing kids. Her family is most often found on a soccer field or skiing peaks all over Maine. By late night, she’s a total bookworm who still loves to read under the covers and goes through a shocking number of book lights each year.
For nearly two decades, Jeff has been self-employed at Rigler Digital Web Development, serving as a developer, marketer, and sales professional. During this time, he offered comprehensive marketing and design services to a diverse client base. Additionally, Jeff has valuable experience from his roles at Disney Television Animation, where he worked as an apprentice production manager and a sales associate. He earned his BA in Art and Business from Arizona State University.
Joseph has been working as a Web Developer and Software Engineer in the Digital Marketing space for 10 years, working with boutique agencies and SASS startups in the New York City Metropolitan Area. A New Jersey Native, Joseph moved to Maine 5 years ago to get away from the big city. He loves living in Maine and is excited about the opportunity to work with and support Maine businesses. For fun, Joseph enjoys playing music with friends, cooking, and hiking.
Chris attended Columbia College Chicago where he received a bachelor’s degree in Communications. While at Columbia, Chris worked with the founders of a startup called Zest to develop a successful marketing and advertising campaign. Before college and becoming a part of the Pulse team, Chris served in the U.S. Marine Corps for five years where he worked as a linguist, becoming proficient in the Pashto, Farsi, and Dari languages. During his time in the Marine Corps, Chris served as the Vice President of a joint base volunteer organization called BOSS and traveled the world, including a deployment to Helmand Province, Afghanistan.
Now, as a member of Pulse’s marketing team, Chris brings the drive that the military taught him to his work, focusing on helping people to effectively accomplish their goals and objectives.
Chris grew up living in South Portland, where he lived for eight years. Later on in life, he lived in many parts of the U.S., including St. Louis, MO, Jacksonville, NC, and Chicago, IL, before returning back to Maine in 2022. In his free time, Chris enjoys listening to the Grateful Dead, hiking, and spending time with his wife Emily, dog named Forrest, and cat named Pepe.
Ben attended the University of Maine where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Journalism with a concentration in Advertising and a minor in Graphic Design.
He has been an employee at the Bangor Daily News since 2010 where he started as a Classified Ad Sales Representative tasked with selling and processing classified ads and legal notices as well assisting with print subscription customer support.
Ben is currently a Digital Fulfillment Specialist with additional duties in print production, graphic design, and social media management. He holds multiple Maine Press Association awards for print ad design.
Prior to working at the Bangor Daily News and Pulse, Ben held part time and management positions in retail for over 12 years.
Ben enjoys hiking, mountain biking, bowling, board/video gaming, hunting, and hobby farming. He lives in Winterport with his two cats and pronounces gif with a hard G.
Marcie attended both New England School of Communications and University of Maine at Augusta. Marcie has more than 20 years of graphic design experience. She began her career in television as a director and graphic designer for newscasts, where she worked for many years. Marcie has owned her own local promotional products and design business, freelanced graphic design services, and held the title of Digital Media Coordinator at a hospital on the coast of Maine prior to joining Bangor Daily News in 2014.
In 2019, she began working for both the Bangor Daily News and Pulse Marketing Agency on digital and print projects. Marcie is passionate about advertising and graphic design, and feels fortunate that she’s able to spend everyday doing what she loves as a career. Marcie has received many Maine Press Association Awards. In her free time she is a music enthusiast, and lives with her husband, children and pets in the Bangor area.
Callie began her creative journey at the University of Maine at Presque Isle studying Fine/Studio Arts. She later transferred to Eastern Maine Community College graduating with a degree in Digital Arts and Photography. Callie has been working as a Graphic Designer for 10 years, creating both print and digital products for clients. Callie also loves being creative in her spare time with drawing, painting, and flipping furniture. She is also a lover of animals, and enjoys riding and competing with her horse, Little. Growing up, Callie was involved with 4-H and continues to do so by being a member of the Penobscot 4-H Leaders program.
Kay holds a B.A. in magazine journalism and an M.A. in writing and publishing. A Maine journalist and freelance writer for more than 20 years, Kay began working part-time for the BDN as an Events Marketing Specialist and has continued with Pulse Marketing Agency on special projects.
Kay has multiple Maine Press Association awards for writing and is an author and screenwriter. She enjoys the outdoors, craft beer, arts and entertainment, and is crazy about cats. Yes, she’s one of those.
