A Quick Guide to Brand Presentation

Avatar of Pulse Marketing By Pulse Marketing

Once you have developed your business brand, it is important to present it using best practices. Presenting your brand in the right way can be easy, as long as you know how to do it, and we’ve created a short list of some do’s and don’ts for you to consider. Without further ado…

Our quick and easy guide to brand presentation

DO: Use the two to three key colors you chose to represent your brand. Make sure that you only use those few colors so people begin to associate those colors with you.

DON’T: Use the colors of any competitors; you don’t see Coke using blue in any of their ads! They don’t want to create a chance of being mistaken for Pepsi.

When using colors that aren’t part of your brand, your consumers could get confused about who you are and be less likely to trust you/to buy your product.

DO: Know your brand. If you want to be the young fun eye-catching brand, then do that and do it well! If you want to be more serious and appeal to a different market, then do that.

DON’T: Be fun on Facebook but boring on your website. If you’re going to have an outgoing personality, it needs to stay consistent across all platforms.

However you decide to communicate with your customers, it needs to happen. Your customers want you to talk to them, and they want you to do it in the way that they perceive you, whether that’s fun, serious, or adventurous.

DO: Know your target. Your ideal customer thinks that your product was made for them! Figure out exactly who that customer is and talk to them.

DON’T: Try to appeal to everyone. Not everyone is going to love you, that’s life! Don’t try to be something you’re not by trying to appeal to those people.
You’ll ultimately be more successful by listening to the people you want using your product or service. Listen to them! They will tell you how you can be better and, oftentimes, what you’re doing wrong.

DO: Switch it up, keep the love alive! Add a new product or a special twist on an old one. Be innovative and unexpected sometimes. Stay similar so that your customers still know who you are, but change enough so that you’re still new and up-to-date.

DON’T: Make too many changes, it ultimately dilutes your brand. If you’re ready to make significant alterations, rebranding is probably your best bet–but only every 10 years or so.

Ensure customers continue to love your product, and competitors don’t beat you out. Brand presentation is one of the most important things for you to consider when it comes to your business, make sure that you’re doing it the right way.
