Update: Applications are now closed as of April 8th, 2024. Thank you for your interest.
We are thrilled to announce the launch of “Pulse on Purpose,” a program inviting organizations to submit requests for marketing and advertising services that will create a positive impact in their communities.
“Pulse on Purpose” is not just a grant program; it’s a collaborative journey toward creating lasting change. For those of us at Pulse Marketing Agency, making a positive impact is at the heart of who we are and what we strive to do. This initiative invites organizations, both nonprofits and for-profits, to submit proposals for marketing support on projects that align with our shared vision of community impact. Your projects could range from initiatives addressing social issues to community development.
In this round of support, we will be endorsing a variety of organizations, including a distinct award to support projects addressing challenges faced by children and youth in poverty. This special category is in acknowledgment of a philanthropic focus of our parent organization, Bangor Publishing Co.
Projects we are able to support could include the development of a strategic awareness campaign, website design, digital advertising, public relations and media management, and more. We are open to providing support for specific programs or your organization as a whole.
We encourage all applicants to carefully review the following selection criteria before submitting their proposals. A successful application must:
— Demonstrate how the proposed marketing project aligns with Pulse’s mission of strengthening communities in which we live, work, and play.
— Explain how Pulse’s support will help you serve people in the community, and describe who it will aim to reach.
— Show how the marketing project will have a long-term benefit for the people you serve and not simply act as a one-time initiative.
— Demonstrate adherence to ethical standards of integrity, fairness, and respect.
— Be a Maine-based organization.
Pulse Marketing Agency will select three awardees this spring:
- Pulse on Purpose Award: The successful awardee may be any organization that has a community-driven purpose. The awardee will pursue a large-scale project potentially requiring a range of Pulse’s services.
- Bangor Publishing Co. Impact Award: Chosen by members of Bangor Publishing Co., the successful awardee will be a nonprofit organization tackling issues related to child poverty that is doing hands-on work in a local community in Maine. The awardee will pursue a large-scale project potentially requiring a range of Pulse’s services.
- Awareness Award: The successful awardee may be any organization that is looking to promote an event and/or services that have a direct impact on the community. The awardee will receive Pulse’s marketing support to assist with their advertising and awareness efforts online or in print.
