Are You Ready for the Holiday Season?

Avatar of Pulse Marketing By Pulse Marketing

It may seem a little early to start thinking about the holidays, but for small businesses, it’s the perfect time. You want to make sure that you get ahead of the game in your marketing for the holidays because as soon as November hits people are going to begin thinking about the holidays and gifts. When this happens you want to make sure that they immediately think of you and your products!

Here are a few things you can do to make sure you are ready for the holiday season:

Email Marketing: Sending a few promotional emails to your best and returning customers between November 1 and December 15 is a great idea to get people to start thinking about your products, especially if you add in special coupons or free shipping if they order before a specific date.

Social Media Marketing: Begin hinting towards the upcoming holidays on your various social media profiles. Many people find their favorite products over social media these days, especially with Pinterest’s advertising feature. It’s best to create an editorial calendar that synchronizes your email and social media marketing, so you can reach as many people as possible with your promotions.

Direct Mail: Many companies send out holiday greeting cards. If you want to get a little ahead of the game you could send out a fun Halloween card with a photo of your staff—it may be a little more unique and eye-catching to your customers than the usual winter holiday card. It will also get them thinking more about you, as well as more apt to look to you first because you’re more unique than competitors.

Digital: Some shoppers prefer to shop online for their holiday gifts. Digital advertising is a great way to make sure your business is found when customers search for your product. Certain ads can even retarget customers if they don’t purchase immediately.

Charity: The winter holiday season is all about giving back to the community and your loved ones. Many consumers like to see that you are giving back. Choose a charity or two to get involved with and encourage your customers to get involved too. Give coupons or small free gifts with a specific amount of time volunteered to those charities or amount of money donated.

There are many ways to get the holiday spirit started, and many ways to increase your sales this upcoming holiday season. Don’t let your competitors beat you to the punch with holiday marketing. If you’re looking advice on bringing in customers this holiday season, let’s talk.
